SOBRE XANGOA
Perico Sambeat s'endinsa en una nova aventura psicodèlica per saciar la seva vessant més experimental, elèctrica i arriscada amb un quartet hipnòtic que vol pervertir el jazz amb hip-hop, groove jazz i funk portat al límit.

Perico Sambeat compta amb una extensa i molt diversa trajectòria en el món del jazz que va del be bop, al free, passant pel funk o les fusions amb el flamenc. Un projecte com aquest és tan diferent com coherent amb la seva trajectòria.
Marc Ayza, bateria català format als dos costats de l’Atlàntic que ja ha fet un primer pas en el camí de la fusió d’aquests dos estils en el seu darrer treball discogràfic Offering.
Albert Sanz, teclista molt obert a altres músiques i amb un extraordinari coneixement del llenguatge jazzístic, amb improvisacions inesperades, fantasioses i ocurrents, aporten un groove molt característic a la proposta.
I Kumar, artista de hip hop cubà resident a Barcelona que ha col•laborat amb diversos grups de l’escena mestissa. Destaca la seva naturalitat i credibilitat en un estil marcat per la pose i la falsa actitud. Acaba de publicar un disc que està presentant per tota Europa.

Perico Sambeat begins a new adventure, trying to fill his experimental side, electric and risky with a hypnotic quartet that wants to mix the jazz with hip-hop, groove jazz and funk to the limit.

Perico Sambeat, the saxophone player that throughout his musical career has covered everything from bebop to free jazz, from funk to flamenco jazz. In the search of new musical directions, this project is the next step.
Marc Ayza, the Catalan drummer well known for his unique style of blending jazz with the elements of hip hop. The latest example is the record "Offering" (FSNT)
Albert Sanz, keyboard player with deep roots in jazz and improvised music. Imaginative, "all ears", and with a groove he adds a special flavour to this band.
And Kumar, Cuban hip hop artist resident in Barcelona, known for his collaborations with bands in the mixed scene, combining different musical traditions. In this project his unique style and originality really stands out. He recently released an album that he's currently presenting around Europe.
